Roy Lee and Suzanne,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was so nice and loving to us when we moved to Louisa in 1997. She will be missed so much. May you find comfort in the days ahead.

So sorry for your loss. I always looked forward to seeing Dot when making my annual visit to Roy Lee's flower shop Christmas Open House. Dot was always smiling and so welcoming. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

My condolences to you Mr. Payne, Suzanne and your family. I remember the many cookouts at your Mom and Dad home be it a teacher function or cheerleading dinner. She always made everyone fill welcomed. I can imagine Mrs. Dot being greeted by her Mineral teacher friends, aka Tina, prounced Ty-na, and Martha, sometimes called Martha Mae welcoming her home. Keeping you all in my prayers.🕊

There aren't enough beautiful words to express the joy and love Dot shared with me from the first moment she and Alice Russell welcomed me into their special Louisa family when I married a guy they all considered a son. Dot's laugh was infectious and her heart was always with her family which included EVERY child she ever taught. We are the richer for having the honor of calling her FRIEND. She is with her God making him smile.

To the family of Mrs. Payne - It saddens me to hear about the passing of Mrs. Payne, she was my elementary school teacher and at the age of “41” I can still remember how sweet, kind and nurturing she was. So many memories “making rice crispy treats in class” “having her rock me to sleep during nap time”. Thanks for sharing that beautiful soul - RIH

We will miss Dot's friendly and smiling face at church, but most of all I will miss our book club meetings at the house. We read some great books and had some awesome book talks! You were an inspiration to us and we will miss you terribly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Dot. I have loved her since she was my 7th grade teacher and then through life as I grew up. There are so many wonderful memories of Dot and Roy Lee and the laughs we had. We always had a fun time with Suzanne as she was growing up. Please know that all of you are in my fondest memories and my prayers for comfort during this difficult time.
