Mildred  Carpenter Mason



Mildred Carpenter Mason, 85 of Louisa; the youngest daughter of Annie Marks and Thomas Sydney Carpenter, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, January 24th after a long battle with poor health.

Mildred is remembered for being a devoted family and church member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was devoted to children as an instructional assistant with the Louisa County Public School System; from which she retired.
She is predeceased by a grandson Brandon Mason.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, L. Earl Mason, Sr., her children, Earl, Jr. (Jean), Ray (Hazel), Myron (Donna) and Nancy; her grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Les Mason (Melinda), April Rising (James), Richard Mason, Becky Anderson (Dr. Andy), Ruth Fogelgren (Sam) and Brandon’s wife Angela; fourteen great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5pm on Sunday, January 28th at Woodward Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, January 29th at the funeral home with a graveside service to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Her family is grateful for the loving care given by the staff of, English Meadows Assisted Living facility and the New Century Hospice of Charlottesville.
Mildred requested in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made in her memory to your charity of choice.
