William Scott Lockwood, II, born April 17, 1945 went to be with God on November 14, 2010. He was preceded in death by his mother, Johnnie Wade Burns and his father, Lee Joseph Lockwood. He was a veteran of Vietnam and a philosopher by nature. He loved his home, his family, and his many cats.
Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Lamb Lockwood, his daughter, Mary Clarinda Lockwood, his sister-in-law, Ruth Lamb, three sons, William Scott Lockwood, III, William Frank Lockwood and Thomas Hunter Lockwood, five grandchildren, Will, Michael and Heather McCracken, Tincek and Janez Lockwood and their mother Theresa Rozman, and his two sisters, Carol Lockwood and Karen Kogel.
Bill had the love of many of the community high schooler’s as they visited our house often and he loved them one and all. All of Mary’s friends were his and he thought of them as his kids!
A celebration of his life will begin with a one hour visitation at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Woodward Funeral Home with a service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Jim Stone will be officiating. Inurnment will be private and held at a later date.
