William Franklin Powell of Mineral, VA passed away Monday, April 21, 2014.The family will have a Celebration of Life Service 1-3pm on Saturday, May 3rd at West Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad, 17005 Beaver-Dam Road, Beaverdam, VA.

There is a tremendous richness in fond memories. Frank`s memory and legacy lives on in each and every one of you in a different way every day. Look at each sunrise and see his smile, look at each sunset and feel his hugs. Look at each other and share a memory, quiet word or soft reflection. Take care of Sue and watch over her and the kids as you stand strong as a family and together face this tremendous loss. I love all of you and am continually raising you all up in prayer. Remember God has not promised skies always blue, flower-strewn pathways all our lives through. God has not promised sun without rain, joy without sorrow or peace without pain. BUT God has promised: strength for the day, Rest for the laborer, light on the way. Grace for the trials, help from above, unfailing sympathy and undying love.
