
Vernelle Martin Albright
February 10, 1933 – February 20, 2023
Vernelle Martin Albright of Louisa, Virginia, died February 20, 2023, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her parents George and Sadie Martin. Vernelle was born and reared in Louisa County, moved to Hanover County, and worked in banking and for B.C. Wood Products. She also worked for Southern States. Upon retirement, she moved back to her homeplace in Louisa County. She was a member of Mount Gilead Church. Vernelle is survived by her cousin Tommy Anderson and his wife Hope, who lovingly cared for her before and during her final health struggles, with the assistance of Shirley Bishop (Jesse) and friend Loretta Carr. Vernelle is also survived by cousins Jean Cather, Joe Smith, Brenda Eggleston, and others, as well as her close friend Marion Payne. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont and Rosmary Lively
Services will be held at Woodward Funeral Home Saturday March 11, 2023 at 2:00pm with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to SPCA, or a charity of your choice.
We have been left with a big void in your absence may you rest now and be at great peace, we will miss you….

Vernelle, so sorry and sad, to hear of your passing, enjoyed seeing you at the antique shows back in the day , your love of antique glass, especially…Iris and Herringbone, you would clear out my booth/display with iris glass, give my dad,Bobby Martin a hug in heaven we lost him on Jan 31, you have your wings, fly high angel!
