Stephen Nikita Evatt

July 9,1994-January 15,2020

Stephen Nikita Evatt was called home suddenly and tragically to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday January 15,  2020.  Stephen was known by many names- Beanie, George, Nicky, Stephen, Slim Shady, and Nick the Stick.  Most importantly, he was known as Daddy to his surviving children, Arianna Brielle, 6, and Jayce Daniel, 4, and Grayson Elias, 1.  He is also survived by his fiancée, Allison Sprouse.

Born on July 9, 1994, Stephen was fun-loving and adventurous and could always make you laugh.  He was strong willed and dedicated to his family and his work.  His passing has left an empty space in the hearts of his family and friends as he was the center of our worlds for the time we were Blessed to have him with us here on Earth.

He is preceded in death by his loving aunts, Bobbie Jean Coleman, Rose Barton, and his beloved “Nanny” Audrey Mae Evatt.

He is survived by parents Winston and Donna Evatt, grandfather Winston “Pop” Evatt; grandmother Barbara Carpenter and grandfather Sam Carpenter; adoptive grandparents “Papaw” Roger Madison and Patricia Miller; mother of Arianna, Jayce, and Grayson, Taylor Lewis; brother Devlin Madison; sisters Miranda Kellison, Amity Burghardt, and Wynston Evatt; niece Jamie Evatt who was more like a sister and her children Noe’lahni and Elijah; brothers-in-law Clabe Kellison and Brian Burghardt; Uncles Eddie Evatt, Kenneth Evatt, Kevin Evatt, and Thomas Evatt; nieces Chloe Madison, Alissa Thompson, and Kellie Thompson; nephews Shayne Eastwood and Parker Kellison; best friends Deion Johnson, Jay Perez, and Randy “Peanut” Peyton.

The Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 4:00pm in the historic sanctuary at Mineral Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Journey Home in Mineral, VA at P.O. Box 482, Mineral, VA 23117 or the link on their website, journeyhomemineral.org/donate.  2261, you are officially released from your Earthly duties, fly high and watch over us all.
