Shirley A. Hall 72, born August 28, 1939 in Henrico, Virginia; passed away peacefully January 3, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Shirley was one of eight children; she has six sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her daughter Shirley H. Gordon and her son-in-law Donald Gordon, Sr.; two sons, Steve E. Hall and James L. Hall; six grandchildren that knew her as Sweetheart” Donald Gordon Jr. and his wife Becca Gordon; Stacy Gordon Kelsey Gordon Marks and her husband Kelcey Marks Jill Hall and her fiancé’ Charles Thomas Eric Hall and Derek Hall. She also was blessed to have five great grandchildren; and a Special Friend Toot Ryder and her husband Jimmy Ryder. Shirley was the nanny and great friend for Tina and James Baker Jr. and adored their son Austin Baker.
Kim and Mark Askew and their two daughters Ashley and Jessie were also close friends.
Shirley loved listening to music attending church shopping with her best friend summer trips to the beach spending time with family and friends going to yard sales and relaxing watching her favorite shows. She was a member of the Mineral Baptist Church.
Shirley has touched so many hearts of people along her journey of life. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Shirley Hall was preceded in death by her angel and late daughter Helen A. Spare.
Friends and Family are invited to Mineral Baptist Church 6-8pm on Thursday January 5 2012 and at 2pm on Friday January 6 2012 for a memorial service.
