Our thoughts and prayers to all the family.
I met this wonderful woman when I started working at B&L Store. She was funny, sweet, helpful, & could be a bit of a pain in the a** at times. LOL She was definitely o holds barred” & would tell you like it is; that`s what I loved the most. She & I would talk about anything & everything under the sun. She mostly talked about her family; her mom & dad her kids grandkids….so forth. She made me wish I was a part of her family because she was so in love with you guys. I felt like I “knew” you before I actually did. I knew Rocky Jr. “Nubs” from coming into the store & hanging out with some of the same people & always thought how nice he was to help his grandma. We were acquaintances through the community & I told him one night that I was going to find him a nice girl because he deserved such. Little did I know that approximately 4 years later I`D BE THAT GIRL! I cannot express what a blessing it has been to become a part of this wonderful family. I have gained the BEST Grandparents & Father & Mother-in-law & absolutely more Aunts & Uncles than I ever could`ve hoped for. I am so lucky to have each of you; Pop Dad (Rocky Sr.) Mom (Cathy) Peggy Linda Nancy Connie Diane Terry & Billy!! I love you all so much! “Thank you Mrs. Marion for bringing us all together.””
I am just reading of the passing of Ruth or as I use to call her MOM. I had the pleasure of meeting Ruth when she worked at Dickinson Store. She was a very loving and caring person to everyone she met. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. We have lost a wonderful woman – our memories of her will go on forever.
MommaFirst and forever I love you. This is so difficult to write – I am not sure I can get thru this. Most of my heart left me on Dec.22nd- I wished I had stayed with you on the 21st. I love you so much it hurts even thou I would fuss at you -you know I was trying to help you. We had lots of talks when I would come down on my monthly weekend visits- I do not think you ever knew this but I would often cry going home. I did not want to leave you and Daddy. Michael would asked me if he and you were both in the hospital who would I go to be with and I told him Momma because I can always replace a husband but never my Momma. He would just laugh- he loved you alot. It will be difficult to go back (home ) but you know I will. It is hard to think of you not there but I know you are watching over us. We never did get to make your soup like we had planned – so you could show me what to do – of course mine would never had been like yours, because you know I do not cook. Momma please keep watch over all of us and know that we will all watch and take care of each other and Daddy. Love you with everything in me Linda Lou
Please accept my families condolences on Ruth`s passing. I always thought so much of Mama Ruth” and have fond memories of her at Dickinson`s and B & L Stores.”
