Robert Walker McDaniel 92, of Louisa, Virginia died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville. Mr. McDaniel was born February 26, 1915; at Barboursville, VA; he is the son of the late Alexander Edgar McDaniel and Ida Estelle McDaniel. He lived the majority of his live in Louisa County; he was a member of Yanceyville Christian Church, loved hunting, fishing, blue grass music, his friends, and most of all spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by; his wife, Edna L. McDaniel, a daughter; Della Mae Musser; two grandsons, Timothy Musser and Michael Worley; two sons-in-law Frank Worley, and Sanford Musser; his sisters, Kate McDaniel, Nellie Shipp, Bertie Strang, and Betty Glass; and his brothers; Wardy, Herbert, Alex, Eddie and Lloyd.
Survivors include, two daughters, Rose L. Greene and her husband Harlie Edward of Louisa; and Dorothy Worley of Nokesville, VA; one brother, Herman McDaniel and his wife Mary, of Ashland, VA; two sisters, Martha Atkins of Louisa and Pearl Glass of Mineral; grandchildren; Robbie Greene, Chris Shaw, Melissa Lohr, Jr. Musser, Cindy Hancock, Lynn Glasco and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 2pm Saturday, October 20, 2007 in Woodward Funeral Chapel; officiated by the Rev. Terry Gilbert. Burial followed in Yanceyville Christian Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Robbie Greene, Martin Greene, Jeremy Greene, Brian Worley, Ryan Key, Dustin Musser, Cody Musser, and Joe Young.
A visitation was held from 7-9 pm Friday, October 19th at Woodward Funeral Home.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to one of the area Louisa County Rescue Squads.
