Robert J. Fisher, 77, of Mineral, VA, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009.
He is survived by his wife Carole F. Fisher, his son, John J. L. Fisher, and his wife Cindy, his former daughter-in-law, Donna Fisher, his granddaughters, Tracy and April, his great-granddaughter, Amber, his brother-in-law, Jerry Gray and several fond nieces and nephews.
Remains rest at the Woodward Funeral Home in Louisa, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009, with interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Louisa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, 1445 E Rio Road; Suite 104, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

Granddad, I will remember you pulling my pig tails, tucking me in and staying with me until I fell asleep when I was scared, taking me swimming, farming” in the back yard and planting trees taking April and I to Hardee`s for echo slimers and ice cream cones. You helped me learn to drive stick and always made me stop on the impossible hills in Blue Ridge Shores. You had a hat for every occasion and a warm smile. I was your skeesics. Without a doubt, you have been the closest person to being a Father to us since our own Fathers have past on. Thank you, for all you have done for us and we will never forget the love and memories you have shared.
