Robert Bob Vernon Kober, Sr., 74 of Louisa, Virginia died Tuesday, August 5, 2014. Born April 29, 1940 in Baltimore; he was the son of the late Albert Kober and Nellie Kober Lumpkin.He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Emberton, one brother, John Kober, Sr.; two grandchildren, Christopher Pearson and Charlie Steadman.Bob was retired from the Navy after more than 20 years of service. He was a farm manager for 29 years.Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, Robert Kober, Jr. and Ronald Kober (Nicole); two daughters, Judy Lewis and Teresa Kober; one sister, Kendra Hart (Jonathan), one son-in-law and very special family friend, Tommie Sims, one sister-in-law Marie Condrey (Allen), one brother-in-law, Willie Emberton, 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being made by Woodward Funeral Home.
