Rita Frances Terrell, 86, of Mineral, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her home. She was born March 2, 1924 in Whitehall, Albemarle County, VA to Rodes White and Frances Smith White. She grew up as a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church in Albemarle and later moved her membership to Louisa Presbyterian Church in Louisa. She graduated from Meriwether Lewis High School in 1941 and went on to attend the University of Virginia where she studied to be a dietician. She worked for social services until 1948 after which she became a secretary for Louisa County Schools, first at Mineral Elementary School and then at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School.
Mrs. Terrell is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edmund Anderson Ned” Terrell two sons Eddie Terrell and his wife Vicky John A. Terrell his wife Ann a grandson Robert Edmund Terrell all of Mineral and several nieces nephews great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents a daughter Margaret Ann Terrell a brother William White and a sister Edith Lewis Beeler.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday October 19 2010 at the Terrell residence. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday October 20 2010 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Louisa. Serving as pallbearers will be David Beeler Tom White Myron Mason James Kean Carson Hartley Kenneth Bowers Charles Jackson Wayne Graves and Pembroke Pettit.

My condolences to the Terrell Family for the loss of Mrs T. I am in Arlington this week and Donna is traveling and I don`t know if she will be back for graveside. I Hope to see you all some time soon. jmm
