In life, you meet many, many people but only a very few who have an impact on who you are. Guy was gifted in that way. A true professional but with innate kindness that always made one feel better about himself and a desire to do better. Guy was the epitome of a a Naval Officer, who influenced many lives and we will long remember what superb leader he was. May God hold him in his arms and bring comfort and peace to his loving family. Mary, I want to extend all my sympathies to you and your families on our loss of Guy. We served many years together in the VS community at Cecil Field and of course for 2 years together in OP-05C in 1988 and 89. He was the pilot`s pilot, training many over the years. What I always admired about Guy was his quiet demeanor, absolute professionalism, and one you could always turn to for answers. I have so many great memories working together on the budget battles in the Penatgon. I know he is in Heaven cheering you on as you continue to run your race without him. Very Sincerely, Jim Jones
Dearest Mary and family, I was so shocked tonight to find that we had lost Guy. You know how much I loved him as a longtime friend and colleague. He was a superior officer, aviator and my super special copilot in VS-33. He was a success everywhere he went from there. I will sorely miss his presence and friendship. What a GUY! As I told you in October, I am here, nearby, should you need me and most happy to help. I will plan to attend the service in May. Our prayers are with you and the family, Love, Carroll and Charlotte

He was a man who faced the world with an unrelenting optimism and a love of life. He was an inspiration for us to be better than we are. We miss him greatly and our prayers are with Mary and the family.

Dear Mary, boys and families,Karen and I were deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Guy. He was a greatly respected naval officer. I was lucky to have served with him in VS-33 and 41. Those early 70`s Screwbird days were the foundation of some of my fondest memories of Guy. Guy was a loyal member of the Sexton J.O. Moving Company, tirelessly keeping the moving crew on task—no small chore given the personalities in that crew Wilda-Beast nipping at their heels. I never met anyone who knew Guy who didn`t like and respect him. Those many, many admirers share your loss. You are all in our hearts.

To Mary and Family:I am very fortunate that I have worked for Guy Myslivy. Guy was a very special person, and he expressed much understanding and support to me when I worked for him. I will always miss him very much in heart and spirit. I always felt like I knew him as a friend too. Many Blessings go out to you and your family.
To Mary and Family,I first met Guy when we worked together in the Pentagon. My first impression was a lasting one of a true humanitarian. Besides being such a great person to work with, Guy let everyone know how much he loved his family. Thank you Mary for sharing Guy with all who knew him and may God bless him for all he gave and you for your sacrifice.
Dear Mary and family, Rocco and I were shocked and so saddened to just hear, the day before the funeral,of Guy`s passing. There is now an enormous gap in our circle of Navy friends. Guy was always there – for changes of command, Viking round-ups,new plane introduction, squadron and plane de-comissionings, and an honored part of Rocco`s retirement ceremony. I am sorry that I missed the service at Arlington, Rocco said it was impressive and truly fitting. Certainly, there are no words that will help at this devastating time, but please know that our thoughts are with you. fondly, Beth and Rocco Tomanelli

Sorry to hear of Capt. Myslivy passing
I flew with Capt Myslivy in VS-28 `81-83` when he was the XO & CO. There was not a finer gentleman or a more experienced Viking pilot in our Navy! My condolences go out to his family, God Bless you all…
Dear Mary,It was with great sadness and shock that I recently learned of Guy`s passing. Guy was my first cousin. Phyllis Mysliwy Brickler was my mother. The last time I saw Guy was at my Mother`s and Ralph Mysliwy`s funerals in July of 2003. We all reconnected with Guy. It was a bright note at an incredibly sad time. He was a truly special person. I have contacted family members here in Wisconsin. Aunty Esther, Teds widow, was especially sad. Pat Muth, Anna`s daughter was stunned and saddened. That about sums it up for all of us who knew and loved Guy. Although Ed, Jean, and family always lived far from Wisconsin, they were special to us. Guy kept in touch with my Mom until her passing in 2003. It meant the world to her to hear from him. I will never forget his kindness. I can say with confidence that the entire Wisconsin branch of the Mysliwy family sends their deepest sympathy and love. God Bless you and your family. Nancy Diehl
I just heard today of Captain Myslivy`s passing. He was my CO when I returned to VS28 the second time. He was one of the nicest and fairest CO I had the pleasure of serving with. I know he has been missed by everyone who knew him.
