Randolph Madison Gheen
Feb. 28, 1931 – Nov. 23, 2020
Randolph Gheen, left our earthly world, Monday, November 23, 2020. Randy served in the United States Marine Corp with honor and with pride. Randy’s service included combat time in Korea with the 1st Battalion to defend our country. A long-time resident of Virginia he spent his last years in the warmth of the Florida sunshine in Barefoot Bay. He retired from Texaco in 1990 after many years of service. He earned an award for having a million accident free miles driving his tanker truck through Virginia, Maryland and DC. He had a big laugh and a big personality which fit his big frame. He enjoyed camping and traveling in his RV. One of his favorite trips was traveling across our beautiful country recording his travel and experiences on his video recorder. He would always say it was the trip of a life time. He frequently said he had a great life, although he greatly missed his beloved wife Cammie. His Cammie passed from him thirty-four years ago to breast cancer. A sadness that never left his heart. Randy loved his family; he leaves behind his Brother Warren O. Gheen and his wife Donna. He had many nieces and nephews from both his brother and Cammie’s family. He will be greatly missed by his family and the friends that knew him.
