Phillip Anthony Astrella, 53 of Mineral, VA passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. He had served his country in the US Navy and was employed as an EMT/Driver for Lifecare Medical Transports, Inc.
Phillip was a member of Mineral Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments.
He is survived by his wife Nancy C. Astrella of Mineral and one daughter; Charlotte Astrella of Tacoma, Washington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 28th at Woodward Funeral Home; where a Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M Thursday, December 29, 2011 officiated by Rev. Rudy Sykes.
You will be missed. It was great having you as a brother in law. Hugs to the family. You will be in my prayers.

We are all saddened with the passing of Phil. He was a person that cared so much about others and enjoyed helping the patients we serve. Our patients loved Phil, just as we at LifeCare did. He will be missed.
