PEARL WADE, age 86, of Kendallville, Indiana, passed away, Sunday, February 8, 2009, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, Indiana.
Mrs. Wade was born in Newhall, West Virginia on November 2, 1922 to George Alexander and Mary Belle Taylor Baker.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Robert Lee Wade, brothers, Dimmon, George, Wade, Lee, and Willie Baker; and sisters, Rilda Brewster, Vicie Hicks.
Mrs. Wade moved to Indiana from West Virginia in 1966 and she worked at Monsanto in Ligonier.
In 1979, she moved back to Mineral, Virginia to take care of her elderly parents and then in 2007 she came back to Kendallville, Indiana to live with her son, Gary.
She loved her grandchildren and being home with her family, gardening and quilting.
She was a deeply spiritual woman and had a close personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include: two sons, Kenneth Dwight and wife Marsha Wade of Goshen, IN, and Gary and wife Linda Wade of Kendallville, IN. Five grandchildren: Heather and Dana Blucker of Millersburg, IN, Megan Adair of Monrovia, IN, Kenneth and Ginger Wade of Goshen, IN, Aaron and Julie Wade of Fort Wayne, IN, and Randi Rice of Kendallville, IN. Great grandchildren: Austin, Jace and Jaron Wade, Hunter Wade, Chase and Kaitlyn Blucker, and Wade Adair. Brother, James L. Baker of Hammond, IN, Brother, Clarence Baker of Woodbridge, VA.
Brother, Fred and Ina Baker of Mineral, VA. Sister, Mary Moser of Chilhowie, VA.
Brother, Wayne Baker of Chilhowie, VA. Sister, Betsy and Robert Culver of Parsonsburg, Maryland.
Brother, Don and Carol Baker of Louisa, Virginia.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 untill 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 12th at Woodward Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 13th at 11:00 A.M. at Spring Grove Memorial Park Cemetery in Mineral.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Noble Hospice, Kendallville, IN.
Dwight and Gary I am thankful you guys got to spend time with your mom. I will miss her so. She had such a positive influence in so many peoples lives and will continue to do so. God bless
