Patricia Martiemae DeLancey

Patricia M. DeLancey of Louisa passed into the loving arms of Jesus on December 7, 2017. She was born on November 23, 1943, in Wyoming County, WV. She was a loving mother and a gifted pianist playing at many churches throughout her lifetime and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Ova and Mrs. Helen Combs. She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years Robert L. DeLancey and their children Robert Shannon (Shirley) of Gordonsville, Bryan (Franny) of Louisa, Tasha Barlow (Scott) of Bumpass and Martie of Louisa, and grandchildren Scott Barlow, Jr. (Jessica), Joshua DeLancey (Cherie), Jessica DeLancey (Joe Sponaugle), Jamie (Matt Coleman), Brandon Barlow (Taylor), Hunter DeLancey (Michelle) and Eli Best. She leaves a brother, Jay Combs (Mary) of Lakeland, FL and a sister Vicki Mayes (Asa) of Warrior, AL ; two sisters – in – law, Sharon Carpenter (George) of Gloucester, VA, Barbara Wilson (Blair) of Mineral and a brother –n – law , Terry West (Joan) of Louisa, five great grandchildren, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Woodward Funeral Home from 2-4 on Sunday, December 10. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 11 at 11:00am. Interment to follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Mineral. Following the internment, the family will gather at Mineral United Methodist Church, Third Street, Mineral.
