Our hearts are sadden to hear of the passing of Janet (Nanny/Granny/GiGi). She was such a great person with a smile that would like up a room and always something sweet to say. Janet served Louisa County well, she was a dispatcher for the Sheriff’s Department, member of the Louisa Rescue Squad and switchboard operator and greeter at the Louisa County Office Building. You could always find her every Sunday enjoying church at New Life Community Church.
She will be greatly missed. Until we meet again!!!

Granny, you are an amazing lady who has left a legacy of deep love for your family and an unforgettable kindness shown everyone you encountered, you had a true respect for others and a genuine happiness shared with anyone blessed to call you their friend. What you have accomplished in your lifetime is enviable and most definitely a life lesson for so many. We are so fortunate and do appreciate that we were your coworker and fellow rescue member, you were such an inspiration to all of us. My friend, you are the heart of our community and we will so miss you.
