Michael Marion Caudill

April 13, 1964 – August 1, 2020

Michael Marion Caudill, 56, of Louisa, VA passed away on August 1, 2020 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.

Michael was born on a Monday morning on April 13, 1964, in Washington D.C. He spent his early years in Northern Virginia and then moved to Louisa in 1973. He attended grade school in Louisa and graduated from Louisa County High School in 1982. He then graduated from Ferrum College. The friends he made in school continued throughout his life. He was a carpenter by trade and was eager to help anyone and everyone who needed him. Anybody who worked with Michael can recall many adventures and misadventures during the journey. Michael married Lyn Nuckols and they had two beautiful children, Michael loved his daughter and son more than anything in his life.

Michael is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leaford Marion Chastain and Viola Marie Coble Chastain; his paternal grandmother, Geneva Babcock.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory  Morgan Chastain Caudill (daughter)  of Reston, VA and  Hunter Lee Caudill (son)  of Louisa, VA; Lewalta Ellen Chastain Caudill Haney (mother) and Robert Ward Haney of Louisa, VA; Thomas Ray Caudill (father) and Elizabeth Caudill of North Carolina; David Thomas Caudill  (brother) and Kadie of Louisa, VA; Travis Ward Haney (brother) and Misty and Samantha of Louisa, VA; Mark Caudill (brother) and Laura and Kai and Bowen of Calgary , Alberta, Canada; Miah Jacobs (sister) and John of Culpeper, VA; Emma Rose Haney (niece) of Louisa, VA ; Kayla Maria Haney (niece) of Louisa, VA; Lyn  Nuckols Caudill of Louisa, VA; Lauren Adler and Kevin, of Richmond, VA; Madison Elizabeth Caudill (niece), of Louisa, VA ; Zachary Ford Caudill (nephew) and Tabatha and Jackson, of Richmond, VA. Others to remember are Irene Haney, of Barboursville, VA; Melvin Douglas and Brenda, of Charlottesville, VA. Susan Gross and Andy and Andrew of Barboursville, VA; and a multitude of other family members and dear friends Michael considered his family.

Michael was cherished and Michael cherished others; Michael was loved dearly and Michael loved others; Michael will be mourned by so many who have touched his life and he will be mourned by the lives Michael has touched. And at the end of life, that is all there is.
