Melvin Russell Burdette Jr. of Louisa, passed away Saturday December 29, 2007 at his home.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Melvin Russell Burdette Sr. & Mildred Marie Burdette; 3 brothers: Maynard L.; David D. & Donald R. Burdette.
Melvin is survived by his wife: Dora Ann Burdette; son: Lee E. Burdette of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter: Dale L. Hale of Frederick, Maryland; 2 brothers Larry E. Burdette of Jefferson, MD & Wayne R. Burdette of Dickerson, MD; a sister, Geraldine Boswell of Gaithersburg MD; Numerous step- children; grandchildren & great- grandchildren.
Mr. Burdette was a member of the Gaithersburg- Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
& The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses of Mineral, Va.
A funeral service was held Wednesday January 2, 2008 at Woodward Funeral Home Chapel Louisa.

Aunt Dale,I wish you the best from here on out. With a parent gone it is a hard thing to live with or I sould say live with out. You have lots of family that loves you and Mike. We will always be here for you. You had one of the apples in mom`s eye and mine tooooo. We always say lets get together after something like this…well lets do it. Us girls can get it in place, and Mike can take the pictures and send them to all of us after…What memories we will have,lets do it for all of the ones watching over us so they can enjoy all of us together again.
