Matthew Louis Patterson
August 28, 1987 – November 3, 2023
Matthew Louis Patterson, 36, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023. Matthew was a skilled electrician, working for the same company for 15 years. He loved participating in the Blue Ridge Road Rally, and enjoyed driving his beloved BMW. Time spent playing video games with his children were precious to him. He loved to be with people and was accepting of everybody. He loved to have parties and cook out on his smoker. He will be deeply missed by so many.
Family left to cherish his memory include his wife, Julie Patterson; sons, Zander Patterson and Daniel Woodall; mother, Patty Hilburn (Joe); father, Lou Patterson (Stephanie); siblings, Kristen O’Conner (David), Zach Murphy, and Chris Patterson; grandparents, Bill and Darlene Woolls; nephew and niece, Jason and Ava; and other loving family members.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Monday, November 13, 2023 in the Woodward Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Matthew’s life will take place immediately following the service. Interment will take place at Spring Grove Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at https://venmo.com/u/Julie-Heap to benefit Matthew’s sons.
My sincere condolences’ to the family. I was very blessed to have crossed paths with Matt through our work place. Matt was so genuine, and a very nice soul. Julie and the boys are in my thoughts and prayers, as well as his extended family.
