Mary Eliza Kent, 88, of Louisa passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the Martha Jefferson Hospital.Mrs. Kent was the oldest member of the New Life Community Church in Louisa. She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin Haley Kent; daughter Mary Kent Towler; brothers, George, William and Country Boyd; and sister Aggie Wilcox.Survivors include her sons, Benjamin Haley “BH” Kent Jr. (Rita) of Free Union and David Wayne “Mickie” Kent (Vicky) of Louisa; daughter Sandra C. Kent of Louisa; son-in-law Marvin Towler of Louisa; brother Benjamin Boyd (Carol) of Louisa; sisters, Elizabeth Geer (Gilmer) of Ashland and Frances Parnell of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Benjamin Haley Kent III, Trey Kent, Jason Kent, Courtney Haislip, Robin Mallory, and Stacy Tuel; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday Jan. 26 at Woodward Funeral Home.A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at New Life Community Church in Louisa.
