Martha Ann Stupp, 68, of Mineral, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville. She was born August 16, 1939 in Ogdensburg, New York to James Wylie and Mary Pray Wylie. She graduated from Morristown Central-Onadaga Community College in Syracuse, NY. She was a life-long member of the V.F.W. Post Ladies Auxillary in Bridgeport, NY, and retired from Haldex Midland Corp. in Kansas City, MO as Manager of the customer service department.
Martha is survived by her four sons, George Stupp, Jr. and wife Kim of West Monroe, NY, Gregory Stupp and wife Toni of Hannibal, NY, Gary Stupp of Central Square, NY and Kieth Stupp of Pennellville, NY, her daughter Betty Worth and husband John of Liverpool, NY, her brother, Jack Wylie and wife Margaret of New Bern, NC, her two sisters, Barbara Griffith of Manassas, and Linda LeBlanc of Mineral, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and ephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George W. Stupp, Sr., her son Gordon Stupp, her brothers, Michael and Donald Wylie, and her sister Mary Pease.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday March 7, 2008 in the Woodward Funeral Chapel, 200 Fredericksburg Ave., Louisa, VA 23093. The Rev. Mike Nickle will be conducting the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Woodward Funeral Home.
