Marjorie Alice Durham Baker
June 21, 1925 – Sept. 29, 2020
Marjorie Alice Durham Baker, 95, of Mineral, VA passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at her home.
Marjorie was a member of Gilboa Christian Church, loved cooking, sewing, spending time and going out to eat with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edloe Baker, Sr.; her father and mother Lindsay Lloyd and Lottie Iris Durham; one grandson Martin Corey Baker; two brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Edloe Baker, Jr. (Linda), and Randall Wayne Baker; one daughter Cynthia Baker Whitlock (Greg); nine grandchildren Jonathan Baker, Sarah Current, Charles Jones, Erin Baker, Randall Wayne Baker, Jr. Matthew Baker, William Whitlock, Jr. Abby Whitlock, and Lisa Hollar; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her care givers Lucille Shelton, Margie Shelton and the Hospice of the Piedmont.
A visitation will be held at Woodward Funeral Home, Friday, October 2, 2020 from 6 to 7 pm.
Graveside service will be Saturday, Oct 3, 2020 at 4 pm in Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Travis Witt officiating.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we will be following the mandated ruling by the Governor of Virginia on face covering and social distancing.
