Margaret Virginia Gordon Smith, 89, of Mineral, VA died Friday, September 5, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Louisa. She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Core Rigsby; her first husband, Ernest P. Gordon, Jr., and her second husband Aubrey M. Smith.Survivors include her sons; Jerry Gordon (Cecilia) and Donnie Gordon both of Mineral; daughters, Brenda Farber (Brent) of Louisa and Darlene Davis (Ken) of Mineral; step-daughter, Betty Jane Thirkettle (John), step-son, Marvin Smith (Cynthia), a brother, Johnny Rigsby (Peggy) of Louisa, fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends 5-7p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Little River Baptist Church.A funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Tim Chrisman, 11a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the church with interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
