Linda Rae Butler, 50 of Bumpass, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015.She was a loving, passionate wife, a caring and loving mother, a compassionate and life-long friend to many. She was a very creative and talented person who used her skills for making chemo. Caps, scarves and gloves for the homeless, baby blankets and hats for infants. She was a Close to my Heart consultant and used her creative talents to create beautiful scrapbooks and keepsakes. She was a past member of the Louisa Junior Women’s League; an avid gardener and canner and loved anywhere there was a warm, sandy beach.She was preceded in death by her father Wes “Jolly” Henry and survived by her husband Roy Butler; her son, George Butler of Virginia Beach; her mother, Mary Lee Henry of Martinsburg, WV; her brothers, Wes Henry (Yvonne) of Edgewater, MD and Steve Henry (Dorothy) of Marlboro, MD, her sisters, Cheryl Keller (Rick) of Martinsburg, WV and Debra Ripley (Scott) of Milton, WV; numerous cousin, nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at First Church of the Nazarene, 401 North High Street, Martinsburg, WV. The family will receive friends following the service in the Social Hall of the church.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and ALS Association.
