Leroy E. Retelle

Leroy Edward Retelle, 88 of Bumpass, VA; died at his residence; Monday, July 30, 2007. Mr. Retelle served in Germany during World War II, after which he joined the 82nd Airborne and later retired from the Army. He was the son of the late Frank and Rose M. Retelle.
Mr. Retelle is survived by his wife Catherine Retelle, two sons, Leroy E. Coburn and his wife Chris of Windsor, Conn., and Wayne Retelle of Chickopee, Mass.; one daughter, Barbara Fulkerson and her husband Sidney of Bumpass, VA; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, one sister, Lucille Retelle of Methuen, Mass., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Richard Allen Retelle and Leonard B. Retelle and three siblings.
Funeral services are private; arrangements with Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa, VA.
