Leona Pearl Glass
Leona Pearl Glass, 102, of Louisa, formerly of Greene County, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011.
She was predeceased by her husband, Booker Glass and two children, Lewis B. Glass and Dorothy L. Cutright.
Pearl is survived by her children, James S. Glass and Bessie E. Mackey, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Herman McDaniel.
Her remains rest at Woodward Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday May 11, 2011. A funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m., Thursday May 12, 2011, at Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa. Interment will follow at Yanceyville Christian Church Cemetery, Louisa.
I am so sorry about Aunt Pearls` passing, I know she must have been tired and ready to go. This year may she celebrate her birhday with Booker and all of the family waiting for her in heaven. She was Daddy`s favorite Aunt. I know he was there to greet her. May the all rest in peace. My deepest condolences to all of the cousins.

Dear Family,Was so sorry to hear of Aunt Pearl`s” passing but know she is so happy right now as she is home with her Dear Lord.We will surely miss her and all the celebrations at her home for each of her birthday`s. She is having a BIG one this July for sure and I would say the Lord will probably ask her to make her biscuits apples and buttermilk pies for the banquet they will no doubt have!!!She was a precious lady and it was a privilege to know her and to sing with her in her back yard all the old gospel songs.May God hold you all close to his heart during this time of grief and know that we are praying for you.Isaiah 41:10 with much love Dana Pelno”
