Laurence Marvin Chipiwalt, 64 of Mineral, VA; passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at his residence. He owned and operated L. M. Chipiwalt & Company. He was a member of Mineral Baptist Church, Louisa Moose Lodge and Mineral Fire Trail Hunt Club.He was the son of the late Simon & Sadie Chipiwalt; and is survived by his wife, Connie B.Chipiwalt, daughters; Sheri Roper (Jeff), Staci Jacobs(David) of Louisa, Kristi Horn and Kara Chipiwalt of Mineral; brother, Donnie Pierce(Cathy); grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jay, Kane, Christopher, Taylor, Ashley, April, Lauren, Tripp, Nick and Carson; great-grandchildren, Harlee and Tyson.A Memorial Service will be held 11 am Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Mineral Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Mike Durham. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22911-8618

Dad words can`t describe how much you are missed and at the same time I`m glad you are no longer suffering. Today is the day we say our good byes and I know in my heart that this is not good bye but a see you later. I will miss hearing your sweet voice and that one of a kind laugh the lectures and most of all your hugs. Some how we will be ok without you here knowing you are watching over us I love you more dad!
