We are sorry to hear about Kilburnie. She was a great lady. I have lots of memories of Kilburnie when we went to church together at Yanceyville. Kilburnie did a lot for me and set an example for me to follow.
We are so sorry that we cannot attend the services and wish the family our deepest sympathy.
Dear Cecilia, Calvert and family,As far as my memory reaches, Aunt Burnie has been an inspiring role model to me and to my family. Mom`s 2nd husband, Rich, described Aunt Burnie as a saint” demonstrated by her selfless attention to Uncle Cecil following his 1st stroke until his passing. Aunt Burnie was cheerful strong generous thoughtful and kind. My family is fortunate to have wonderful memories of the times we were so welcomed in her home where she spread her famous “Southern hospitality” in abundance! When Haley and Molly were little Aunt Burnie showered us with gifts of little dresses irregulars she`d tenderly repaired. She was proud of her work. We pray for peace and comfort to her loving family who have tirelessly cared for and loved her. May God`s peace be with you as i am certain my Aunt Burnie is a shining angel in heaven as she was on earth. Helen Rob Haley and Molly Schaefer”
Dianne, Kim and I regret the loss of our wonderful Aunt Burnie. She was always warm, sharp and loving. She had a radiant smile and was an excellent cook. We send our love to her loved ones especially Cecilia, Wendell, Calvert and Betsye and their children.Love,Peter Kopff
Dear Cecilia, Calvert, and families,Your mother was my sister, replacing my sister Leora, who died young. Burnie was a devoted and loving wife to my brother Cecil always. I feel there is a star in heaven with her name on it. I miss her. I wish you comfort, love, and peace.Aunt Willie Maude
