Kenneth T. Dunivan
February 12, 1946 – September 23, 2023
Kenneth T. Dunivan, 77, of Bumpass, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mildred Dunivan; brothers, Norman and Holmes Dunivan; and nephew, Norman Dunivan, Jr.
Kenneth was a kind person, but also the family jokester; he loved making people laugh. During his early career he built houses, and ended his career as a hotel Maintenance Technician, a role he took great pride in. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, New York Yankees, and Nascar- especially Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He loved watching old Westerns and listening to old Country and Blue Grass music.
Family left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Mary “Pat” Dunivan; daughter, Nikki Showers and her husband, Billy; grandchildren, Taylor and Hunter Showers; siblings, Joan Woody, Diane Payne, Jerry Dunivan, Larry Dunivan, Joy Mitchell, Michael Dunivan, Sue Pugh, and Renee Dunivan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service to honor Kenneth’s life will be held at 1pm on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Woodward Funeral Home Chapel, 200 Fredericksburg Ave, Louisa, VA 23093. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/) or the National Kidney Foundation (https://www.kidney.org/).
