Katherine Elizabeth Seay, 77, of Mineral, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010.
She was born December 13, 1933 in Harrisonburg, to Thomas James Kingston and Sybil Katherine Rexrode Kingston. She was a devoted Christian women, a wonderful mother and friend who will be remembered by so many friends.
She is survived by her children, Yvonne Bettis, Janice Talley Donald Ray Talley, Sr.,
Steven Mitchell Shifflett, Ellis H. Shifflett, III, Wanda C. Butler Michael Butler, Esther V. Hague Aubrey F. Hague, Jr., JoAnn S. Wharton Jerry, Howard R. Seay, Jr. Barbara, Eugene C. Seay Tami, Jeffrey L. Seay, Gregory A. Seay Melissa, her siblings, Paul Kingston, Thomas Kingston, Doris Andes, Wallace Kingston, 29 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard Randolph Seay, Sr., her brothers, William Kingston and Robert Lee Kingston.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Woodward Funeral Home where a funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011. The Rev. George Hunley will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Seay Family Cemetery, Rt. 652 in Mineral. Pallbearers will be Steve Shifflett, Eugene Seay, Ellis Shifflett IV, Kyle Seay, Ryan Seay, Justin Bettis, Casey Brown, David Fields, and Patrick F. Hague.
Aunt Kate, You always put a smile on my face every time i was around you. No matter where you were, you always had a smile on and stayed strong for everyone. You were a great lady and always made sure you told me how much you loved me, as well as everyone else. you will be greatly missed and always loved. I know your not suffering anymore and can finally be with Uncle Randy once again.. I love you Aunt Kate!! Cathy Sis
