Judy H. Gammon, 72 passed away on June 30, 2016 at Dogwood Village in Orange, Virginia. Judy was born July 6, 1943 in Harrisonburg, Virginia to the late Oren and Stella Halterman. She is also predeceased by her husband, Bill and her brother Mark.She is survived by her sister, Shelby Millholland, her brother, Steve Halterman and their families.She retired with 30 years of service in Administration for the VA. Department of Corrections at the Goochland Center for women. She and Bill also owned and ran a country store in Holly Grove after purchasing it from his father. Judy was a hard worker and a “people” person who was always there for anyone in need – regardless of the need. She was generous, kind, giving and fun to be with.A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Gammon-Lloyd Family Cemetery, Gammon Town Road, Bumpass, Virginia 23024.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holly Grove Ruritan Club, 3072 Crewsville Road, Bumpass, VA 23024.
So many wonderful memories of Judy from our high school years. Shelby, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
So sorry to hear about Judy. She was always a joy to be around. I remember her walking up Lyde St many years ago. Good memories.

Shelby and family, my sincere sympathy to your family in the loss of your sister, Judy. Hard to imagine that people younger than me are leaving this earth. I will remember Judy as a young person, as I had not seen her in a number of years. Please know that Wayne and I are thinking of you all with prayers and special thoughts.
