Judith Perry Thomas

October 2, 1940 -February 19, 2023

Judith Perry Thomas (Judi), 82, of Stanardsville, VA, passed away peacefully on February 19th, 2023.
Judi was born on October 2nd, 1940 to James Guy Perry, Dentist, and Athalie (Ruby May) Coiner Armstrong, homemaker, in Staunton, Virginia. As the daughter of a traveling Dentist, Judi enjoyed a childhood spent intermittently abroad in Saudi Arabia before once again settling in Central Virginia with her mother, whose family roots in Augusta County can be traced back to the late 1700’s. After graduating from Lane High School in Charlottesville, Virginia, Judi went on to pursue a degree in Secretarial school, which she later utilized to help operate a family business.
Judi married the love of her life, Clifton Albert Thomas on February 27th, 1964 in Arlington, Virginia.
After retiring from Kroger as Floral Department Manager, Judi devoted much of her time to cooking her trademark southern dishes for family and friends, sewing, enjoying the quiet mountain scenery of her home in Stanardsville, and spoiling her grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
Judi is predeceased by her parents, two brothers, one sister, her husband, and many of her beloved “country critters” pets. She is survived by a son, James Franklin Thomas (Lynda Aileen Murray) of Manassas, Virginia, two grandchildren, Jaime Danielle Thomas of Bluemont, Virginia, and Andrew Conrad Thomas, of Bealeton, Virginia, two great-grandsons, Jase and Lennox, and one very special great-granddaughter, who was her pride and joy, Kylie Madison.
Judi was well-loved and she will be missed by many.
