John Wesley Seay, 74, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital.
He was a native of Spotsylvania and had lived in Stafford for the past 42 years. He was the son of the late Willie and Bernice Seay. John was a graduate of Spotsylvania High School. He had worked as a supervisor at Fredericksburg Dist. Co., a salesman at Kayak Pools and retired as a salesman from Dooley Pools. John will be remembered for his love of Sports, especially basketball which he was a star player for Spotsy High School.
He is survived by his wife of over 48 years Phyllis Anita Seay, his four children; Anita Moran and her fiancé’ Ron Pompii of Stafford, Cindy Ellis of Louisa, Angela Roviralta and her husband Bill of Mechanicsville, and Cheryl Green and her husband Richard of Milford, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2010 at Woodward Funeral Home in Louisa. A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Woodward Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin James officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Louisa.
