His name was synonymous with pride, love and dedication of family. His dream of becoming a professional soccer player in the Hungarian Nationals was cut short when he was drafted and served in World War II. His drive and determination is what brought him to the U.S. It was his dream and vision to give his family freedom, opportunity and the same vision of endless possibilities. A true HERO who risked all to obtain and share with his family The American Dream”. His hands were strong the profession of a skilled welder who’s pride and hard work earned him respect throughout the industry. His ethics spoke loudly and with it meant honor, trust and quality.
He was a quiet man of strong convictions and honor. Paving the road for his family he led by example. The welfare of his family was his priority. He walked before them only to lead alongside them when pride and strength in oneself was the lesson and behind to ensure he would catch us should we fall.
His essence convictions and love of family was our security and is the legacy he leaves us. To all of us he was our “Hero”. He was strong determined and above all a “GOOD MAN”.

We never had a chance to meet our Step-Grandfather, but judging from what we`ve heard and read about Mr. John Elekes, we can safely say without question, that he was an amazing human being. The people that love him and stood by him throughout the years are proof of the kind of man he was and what he stood for, what he risked for that love, and the lengths that he was willing to go to prove that love. I`m so glad for you, John, because without you, we would have never had the opportunity to be blessed with such wonderful/caring new family members. Our lives are now enriched by your strength and determination. It is a bitter-sweet ending; Our heart is with you all. â?¥-Shanae & Tanecia
