Johanna Surmaj ,91 of Louisa, VA passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014. Born in the Ukraine she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Maria Susulske. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Feder Surmaj and a grandson Anthony Becks. Johanna was a member of St Jude’s Catholic Church.She leaves to cherish her memory, Sons, Joseph Susulske (Lynn) of Frederick, MD and Roman Surmaj of Virginia Beach, VA; daughters, Irene Wynnyk (Alex) of Maryland, Maria Becks (Roy) of Mineral, VA, Susie McNamara (David) of Maryland, Olga O’Donnell (Brian) of VA Beach and Honya Sawinski of Hawaii, Grandchildren, Paul Taylor Susulske, Evan and Mitchell Surmaj, Patrick and Alex Wynnyk, Natasha Becks-Miller, Conor and Jarret McNamara and Andrey Sawinski and nine great-grandchildren.A funeral mass will be held at noon on Monday, March 31, 2014 at St Jude’s Catholic Church, officiated by Father Michael Duffy; family will receive friends from 10:30 am til service time. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa, VA
