Joe Thomas Tarry, Sr. passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the University Of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va.
He is preceded in death by his brother and sister: Hadie Tarry and Beatrice Chapman, and is survived by his son: Joe Thomas Tarry, Jr. and wife Ashley Tiller Tarry and future grandson: Joe Thomas Tarry IIIï? His Ex- Wife, Friend and care taker: Mary Jane Tarry; step- children: Charles Davis of Maryland; Michelle Floody, Pam Davis, and Jason Davis all of Mineral, Virginia; 3 brothers: Robert Tarry of Kentucky, Virgil Ray Tarry of Dale City, Virginia, William Tarry of Kentucky; 4 sisters: Emma Pedigo of Kentucky; Frankie Carnahan of Kentucky, Carolyn Lundi of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Martha Tarry of Kentucky.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Woodward Funeral Home, 200 Fredericksburg Avenue, Louisa, Virginia- 23093. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Mineral.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday July 15, 2008 at the funeral home.

Little Joe this is little Anna I dont know if you remember coming to Anna Pearls house when you and your dad lived here but I sure remember all of the good times your dad and my mom had.I lost moma 1-11-07 to cancer.I know there is nothing to say to help ease the pain but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.May God help you and your little family get through the pain.God bless you. I am deeply sorry to hear that my dad passed away. i had to hear about it from my friends. not my own mother told me anything. he was a great guy i wish i knew him more. the times that i meet him he told me alot of good stuff about him and his son lil joe. maybe one dqay i can meet lil joe and his family. His Daughter, I am not mentioned here by no fault of his own as he was kept from me as I was from him. I wish I had known the man hehad become before his passing and the people who cared for him.
