Jerry loved many things, but spending time with family and friends, and a good rainy day is what she loved the most. Those closest to her would consider her a “caretaker of all”. She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Alice Morrison. Jerry is survived by her husband Walter Hawley; one son Dustin Hawley; daughter-in-law Crystal Hawley; one grandson Braiden Hawley; and one sister Serita Ayers (Carl).
A memorial gathering will be held at Locust Creek Volunteer Fire Department, 575 Bethany Church Road Bumpass, VA Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.

I am so very sorry for Jerry’s familys’ loss. What a wonderful and kind lady! She used to make chocolate chip cookies and give them to me at Christmas. Deepest Sympathy to her friends and family. She will surely be missed!
She is one of the sweetest, most caring people I know. Always had concern for everyone else. When I met Jerry,I knew she was special, different from all the rest. Had a heart of gold, and ready to help anyone who needed help. I know we didnt see each other much, but I could always call her a true friend. She will be missed. Prayers goes out to Walter,Dustin, Crystal and her grandson. Her family is what mattered to her most. God bless you all in this difficult time. Sincerely Tammy and Nutty
I cannot even put into words how broken my heart is to hear of your passing. In my years at Food Lion you became a very special customer to me I prayed very often for God to heal you. I will cherish the conversations I was able to have with you and will forever hold a special place in my heart for you. I know your grandson was your world you would light up whenever you talked about him. I will keep your husband Walter, your son, daughter in law, grandson and the rest of your family in my thoughts & prayers in the days, months and years to come. Keep your faith eventhough it’s very hard God will give you all the strength to get through this. Love you Jerry you are at peace no more pain, suffering watch over your family.
