Janet Day Tipton, 77, of Bumpass, VA passed away May 6, 2010 at the Hospice House in Charlottesville. She was born June 12, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN to Kingsley Day and Margaret Wagenhals Day.
Janet is survived by her son; Michael Freeman Tipton and his wife Ann Marie of Harrisonburg, VA, her daughter; Holly Day Myles and her husband David of Falls Church, VA, her brother; Eugene C. Day and his wife Sandy of Minneapolis, MN, and her three grandsons; Ian Myles, Brendan Myles and Spencer Tipton. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband whom she married July 1, 1964; Jack C. Tipton, and a nephew, Scott Day.
Memorial Services will be held at Louisa Presbyterian Church, 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 10th and at Berlin Cemetery in Pennsylvania, where her husband’s remains rest at 2:00 P.M.onTuesday, May 11th .
Janet graduated from St. Louis Park High School 1950, she served in the American Red Cross from 1958-1964 and served in Korea as a member of the SRAO from 1958-1959. She was a member of Louisa Presbyterian Church; where she served as an elder and was a member of the choir.
