
James Grimm

James Clifton Grimm, 81 of Mineral passed away Wednesday morning at his home. He was the son of the late: Claude Raymond & Cora Ann Thacker Grimm, along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years: Ethelyn Lee Grimm; a daughter, Karen Grimm, three brothers: Clarence Grimm, Norman Grimm, and Junior Grimm; one sister: Joyce Baroody; one sister- in- law: Marie Grimm; one brother- in- law: Edward Baroody.
Mr. Grimm loved working in his garden and growing his prize tomatoes for which people came from miles around. He was also an avid fisherman & hunter. He served his country in the United States Army, in WWII.
He is survived by his four daughters: Sharon Marie Wilson and husband Billy; Teresa Ann Lowe and husband Donnie; Sandra Kay” Johnson and husband Raymond all of Louisa: one son: James Ronald Grimm of the home: one brother: Thurman Grimm of Louisa; three grandsons: Shawn Perry; Dustin Lowe; Raynor Johnson: two granddaughters: Jennifer Lowe Wilson and Kelly Rae Johnson; four great- grandchildren: Jarrett Perry Kaitlyn Ann Perry Mackenzie Wilson and Maddie Grace Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews; two sister- in- laws: Faye Hicks Grimm Faye Grimm and a special friend Susan Jewel.
A visitation will be held Friday May 23 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Woodward Funeral Home Louisa Va. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 24 2008 at Hillcrest Cemetery Louisa. The Rev. Roger Bevins will officiate. Graveside honors will provided by the United States Army Honor Guard.
The family requests that all who wish to go in procession to the cemetery meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont 2200 Old Ivy Road Suite 2 Charlottesville Virginia 22903.
Ya`ll are in my prayers and my every thought during this difficult time. Mr. Grimm was the sweetest person every and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed dearly. Just try to remember all he was going through and the lord did`nt want him to suffer anymore. Let me know if there is anything at all that I can do for any of you. I love you all.Love,Connie
