To Howard’s family,
I worked with Peggy at the bank and Howard would stop by. He brightened my day. He was always smiling and joking. He was loved by many and may that bring comfort to you.
Howard was Blair’s driver in their Louisa volunteer Rescue days. He would sometimes start the early mornings with a song. He always spoke and was ever polite. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss.
Pop Pop,
I met you for the first time when I was McKayla’s Kindergarten teacher. Then Joshua’s teacher.. You stole my heart from day one and reminded me of my Grandfather that I lost a couple years earlier. I enjoyed all our visits, and that kiss on the cheek! Your salsa was the best! Keep shining from above, and make sure you keep us all straight down here. The last time I saw him, all he talked about was how much he loved his family! Thank you for letting me be apart of that, even if it was a short time.
Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Loves to all..
Always enjoyed working with Howard on prescribed burns with the Department of Forestry.

To have known you and worked with you Howard was an honor. We shared our Marine Corps stories many times while at the range or in court. You had a passion for the outdoors and one to help others. Fair winds and follow seas, you’ve done your time here, until the day I relieve your watch at the gates of heaven, Semper Fi!
I had the privilege of meeting your father several times in the 80s with Mark in Louisa. Every time I saw him he had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. I know he will be missed.
I have such fond memories of Howard! During high school, his daughter Kathy and I spent many weekends with him in Louisa. I remember his warm hospitality, his delightful sense of humor and his delicious breakfasts. Most of all, though, I remember how much he loved his children, Mark, Jay and Kathy, his wife, Peggy, and his dog, Paladin. I will remember him with gratitude and I will be holding his family to the Light. ❤️
Our thought and prayers are sent to his family and friends, as well as his fellow law enforcement officers. He was a great man and will be missed by many.
Extending our deepest sympathy to you during this time. Our prayers and blessings are with you.
