Holmes B. Dunivan 80, of Louisa, Virginia passed away on August 30, 2021at University of Virginia Health System Charlottesville, Virginia.
He loved coon and deer hunting, his blue tick dogs and antique cars. Holmes started his own business Dunivan Construction and built many homes in and around Louisa, Virginia.
Holmes was lucky to be part of a large family, he is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, whom he was married to for 61 years; daughter Sharon Trainum (Thomas);two sons, Craig Dunivan, Daniel Dunivan (Tina); two grandsons, Christopher Trainum, (Alicia) and Daniel Dunivan Jr. (Molly); six great- grandchildren, Nathan, Lucus, Tyler, Nevaeh, Holmes and Maddox; step granddaughter, Reese; sisters, Joan Woody, Diane Payne, Sue Pugh, Renee Stokes, Joy Leigh Mitchell (Howard); brothers, Michael (Shirley), Larry (Sharon), Jerry (Brenda), and Kenneth (Pat); and many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Claude and Mildred Dunivan; and brother Norman Dunivan Sr.
A graveside service will be held, 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Hillcrest Cemetery Louisa, Virginia.
