Harold Wilson Vawter
June 7, 1940 – January 23,2022
Harold Wilson Vawter passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was surrounded by loved ones, including our family pets who he loved dearly.
Born June 7, 1940, Harold was a genuine, kind, and hardworking man with an endless supply of jokes to share. His lighthearted nature made him amazing company and was just one of the many special qualities he possessed. Baseball was not just a game but a way of life for him, and coaching little league was an opportunity he always cherished. He also found joy in all things history and anything antique. What always kept him going and gave him purpose were his children and grandchildren- the source of his strength and will always be his proudest achievement. Harold is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Evelyn Vawter and his father, Reid Vawter. Survived by his devoted wife of 41 1/2 years, Vinnie M. Vawter. Three sons: Kyle Vawter, Van Vawter, and Jason Vawter. Two daughters: Lisa Hamblin and Tiffany Vawter. As well as 6 wonderful grandchildren; Evie Vawter, Devin Vawter, Caroline Hamblin, Abigail Vawter, Avah Drymond, and Victoria.
