Harland Earl Shifflett
October 31, 1936 – November 10, 2021
Harland Earl Shifflett, 85, of Louisa went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 10, 2021 surrounded by his family at the Martha Jefferson Hospital.
Harland was born October 31, 1936 in Louisa County the late Early M. and Edith M. Shifflett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother E. Wayne Shifflett.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Shifflett with whom he shared an amazing life with for 64 years. His three children, James H. Shifflett (Tonie), Anthony L. Shifflett (Christy), and April L. Shifflett-Hix (Eddie); six grandchildren, Kateland Dunivan and Amanda, Bridgett Dunivan, Harley Brooks and Nathon, Bradey Shifflett, Mason Shifflett, Bohn and Joshua W. Shifflett all of Louisa; He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Harland was a home builder, brick mason, and business man. He enjoyed hunting, and fishing in his younger days. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Woodward Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2: 00 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021 in the funeral home chapel, graveside services will follow at the Shifflett Family Cemetery 172 CCC Road Louisa, VA.

Harland and I started first grade together. It has been many years since I last saw him but I always remembered our times in school. So sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family.
We will truly miss him. Our prayers go out to Mary and children.
