My Mother, Becky Hopkins Jean`s aunt had tried to reach her in the last few weeks, but we had no luck in a current phone number. Jean lived with my parents at one point in her life, she was part of our extended family. She showed us stenght and love, and we showed her comfort and grace. She will not be forgotten. Please reach out to someone you love, that would be glad to hear from you. Dottie Megee & Becky Hopkins
Jean, very kind… knew her for a while married to my brother william.. God rest her soul and forever hold Jean in his loving arms…. God be with you Jean
I met Jean when she married my husband`s brother. She was a joy to know and fun to be with. She had a gift for creating art and also excelled in cooking. It always surprised me that her perogies and pizza dough were better than Bill`s. LOL. Jean loved her children and her grandchildren and I know she will be sorely missed by all of us. I will have many fond and wonderful memories of her. God Bless her family. Her friend and sister-in-law,Helen Paris

I first met Jean when visiting my sister Helen and her husband Charles Paris. This was back in the `80s. I saw Jean on many happy occasions and always enjoyed her company. She had a beautiful smile and was full of laughter. My sincerest sympathies to Jean`s entire family.
I AM JEANS AUNT VIRGINIA BROWN MY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES GOES TO HER GIRLS AND THE REST OF HER FAMILY,OUR FAMILYS AND JEANS SPENT A LOT OF TIME TOGETHER WHEN THE KIDS WERE YOUNG AND JEAN WAS ONE OF MY FAVORED ONE.WISH WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN TO SEE HER BEFORE SHE PASSED.SORRY WE WONT BE ABLE TO BE WITH THE FAMILY .SICKNESS IN THE FAMILY AND I DO NOT DRIVE THAT FAR.MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL.
First of all my sympathy goes out to Jean`s daughters, you girls have been so good to Jean and she couldn`t have asked for a better son in law Jesse. All you guys are great and your mother loved you dearly. Jean was like a sister to me, we have partied, laughed and cried together. She was a very talented lady. An excellent cook, artistic. She had sold some of her paintings. Jean had a awesome personality, she was funny, wow!!! Some of the things she could come up with…. Jean and I had a few plans we didn`t get to do when she moved back home to Va. We had planned to go see Aunt Becky Hopkins, Uncle Hurbert Brown, Aunt Virginia, Ann, visit the Lacy`s Farm. We hadn`t been there since we were kids. I have to find peace in thinking that Jean is rejoicing in heaven with Bill, Granddaddy, Nanny, Daddy, Chester, Ronnie, Clara and Tookie. I loved Jean with all my heart and soul and am truly going to miss her. Wow!!! until we meet again.Your loving NieceTina
Although I do not have many memories of my Great Aunt Jean, I always remember her being a sweet, funny person and always so kind to me. Aunt Jean I am so glad I did get to see you when you moved back to V.a and even had a few awesome chats on facebook. I have always been a person that had to live and learn lifes lessons on my own but when she gave me advice..I listened, for I knew they were words of a wise woman who has done alot of living. I know you stayed close and held a very dear place in my mothers heart as well. You will be missed. I love you Aunt Jean, God Bless xoxoxoxoxo
