Frazier Talmadge “Butch” Boyd

March 14, 1944- September 23, 2021

Frazier Talmadge “Butch” Boyd Jr, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his home in Louisa County. He was born March 14, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to Marie Kathleen (Baner) and Frazier T. Boyd Sr.

After graduating from Thomas Dale High School, he married the love of his life, Nancy (Stephenson) on February 21, 1964. He took classes at John Tyler Community College and went on to become a software engineer.

Frazier was predeceased by his parents, Marie and Frazier; his stepmother, Mary Boyd; brother, Raymond; and sisters, Inez (McGee) and Ellen (Sanford). He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Frazier and David Boyd; daughter, Sarah (Boyd) and her husband, Greg Danburg; grandchildren, Davey, Katie, McKayla, Robert, Noah, Nathan, and Natalie; as well as his brother, Robert Boyd.

Frazier was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a dedicated Christian. He loved worshiping the Lord, spending time in nature, and fixing things—if there was ever a problem, he was there to solve it. He always proved to be reliable. “Butch” was known for his infectious laugh, unmatched drive, and his innate ability to welcome anyone into both his family and his heart.  He will be remembered for his wit, intelligence, and courage; and will greatly be missed by all.

The funeral services will be held on October 1, 2021 with the viewing beginning at 11 AM directly followed by the service. It will take place at the Goochland Holiness Church, 3009 River Rd. W. with Pastor John Treese officiating. The following burial will take place at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. If desired, flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at 3009 River Rd. W.
