Frances MacCauley

Francis Bud” Eckles MacCauley age 89 passed away at home on June 23 2008.

Born on August 4 1918 in Rowlandsville Maryland he was the son of Samuel Eckles and Bertha Emile MacCauley. He spent his childhood in rural Cobra Maryland where he cultivated his love of animals and farming. On March 23 1939 he married Eva Virginia McGbothlin beginning his family and farming venture. He resided in Cecil County Maryland until 1967 when he relocated to a farm in Bumpass Virginia. There he raised cattle and hogs as well as crop farmed. In addition to his affinity for farming he was skilled in carpentry and an employee of Hardwell Constructions. In 1990 Bud moved to a farm in Trevilians Virginia where until now he has resided.

Bud and Eva enjoyed many years watching their grandchildren great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren grow up. He shared with them all the wonders that farm life had to offer. Among the activities were fishing hunting riding/driving farm equipment and Bud’s favorite pastime horses.

Survived by his wife Eva Virginia MacCauley and children: Ruth Barker of Oxford PA; Francis “Buddy” and wife Donna MacCauley daughters Michelle & Rachael of Nottingham PA; Gertrude and husband Worth Hamm children David Tony Diana and Rebecca of Lansing NC; Mary and husband Barry Stevens children Barry and Deborah of Nottingham PA; Joan Sexton children John Ray Richie and Nicole of Seattle WA; Elaine and husband Elwood Morrison children Larry and Eva of Newark DE; Sandra and husband James McClure daughter Marcaline of Landenburg PA; Peggy and husband Larry Wentzel daughter Charlene of Lincoln University PA; Richard MacCauley and wife Vee Tiemey children Mike Danielle Darcey and Stephen of Louisa VA; Ronnie MacCaulcy daughters Jennifer Cassie and Theresa of Bumpass VA Patricia MacCauley Jernigan children Krystal and Christopher of Bumpass VA; Carol and husband Robert King son Mitch of Bumpass VA; Laura “Beattle” and husband Joe King son JC of Bumpass VA. Numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren survive him in addition to his sister Helen Botluk of Rising Sun MD and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by son Robert Thomas son in law C. Edward Barker grandchildren Stephen Hamm Christopher and Kimberly Wentzel.

Viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday June 25 2008 at Woodward
Funeral Home in Louisa Virginia from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Memorial Service at 8:00 officiated by Deacon Chester Harvey.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 27 2008 at West Nottingham Presbyterian
Church Colora Maryland.
Viewing from 1:00-2:00 service 2:00-3:00 with interment at West Nottingham
Cemetery officiated by Reverend Billie Starr Brightwell.
