Frances Lupton

Lupton, Frances Coleman, born December 16, 1919, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 28, 2009. She was the widow of John Lewis Lupton to whom she was married for fifty-six years. A native of Charlottesville, she was one of ten children born to John Randolph and Nellie Coleman and has one surviving sister, Christine Wirt of Louisa. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol F. Pohlman and her husband, H. T. and Sarah L. Moses and her husband, Gary. In addition to her daughters, she is survived by five grandchildren, Lisa Shepheard and her husband, Stephen, Thomas B. Sellers, Jr. and his wife, Wendy, Christi Jones and her husband, Travis, Brent Moses and Chad Moses and nine great grandsons. Frances and John lived their married life in Louisa, VA, where she and John were devoted members of Louisa Baptist Church and where Frances was a member of the Eva Vaughn Bible Class. Frances moved to Louisa in 2000 to be near her daughters and had been attending Bon Air Baptist Church and was a member of the Fidelis Bible Class until declining health prevented further attendance. Her remains rest at Woodward Funeral Home, 200 Fredericksburg Avenue, Louisa, VA. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p. m. Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Woodward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 11 a. m. at the Louisa Baptist Church, 305 E. Main Street, Louisa, VA. Internment at Hillcrest Cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Louisa Baptist Church, 305 E. Main Street, Louisa, VA 23093 or to Bon Secours Hospice & Palliative Care, 8580 Magellan Parkway, Louisa, VA 23227.
