Ernest Lee Caldwell, entered eternal life on Thursday, November 6, 2008. He was born April 1, 1919 in Louisa, VA to Curtis Lee and Lucy Millway Caldwell.
Mr. Caldwell served 10 years in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by two brothers; Russell Emory and John Frances Caldwell.
Survivors include wife of 55 years, Olive R. Caldwell; one sister, Edith C. Walsh; nieces Carol Koontz of Orange, VA, Sandy Warner of Hampton, VA, Tina Caldwell-Eheart of Barboursville, VA and June McWhirt, of Maryland; nephew; Albert C. Rudinger of Maryland; Blane Walsh and Dennis Walsh of Glen Allen, VA; Rodney Walsh of Ruther Glen, VA; and Randall Caldwell of Hampton, VA.
A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery 2 PM Sunday, November 9th with Rev. Ann Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends directly following the service at the home of Ernest & Olive Caldwell.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Louisa Fire Department, 200 East Main St, Louisa, VA 23093 or St. James Episcopal Church, 102 Ellisville Dr, Louisa, VA 23093.
